Paramount Skydance Corp. completed its $110 billion purchase of Warner Bros. Discovery Inc. on October 6, 2026, closing one of the largest media deals ever after a contest for control with Netflix Inc. and antitrust suits against the transaction, Bloomberg reported.
The merged business will operate under the name Skydance. It brings together two of the five biggest Hollywood film studios and the franchises they control, including Harry Potter and Mission Impossible.
The company will also hold dozens of television networks, among them CBS and TNT, and two large subscription streaming services, Paramount+ and HBO Max.
