Marvell Technology has agreed to acquire Lumentum in a deal valued at $115 billion, FXLeaders reported on November 3, 2026.

The chipmaker's shares were testing what FXLeaders described as their last remaining support level as financing pressure tied to the transaction built. The outlet did not detail the structure of the purchase in the material available.

Marvell designs semiconductors used in data center, networking and storage systems. Lumentum makes optical and photonic components used in communications networks, a market that has drawn investor attention as operators expand capacity for artificial intelligence workloads.

Further terms of the agreement, including the mix of cash and stock, the expected closing timetable and any required regulatory approvals, were not available.
