DoorDash plans to acquire Instacart in a deal valued at about $17 billion, with an official announcement expected as early as October 29, 2026, according to a report published that day.

The report described the transaction as being in its final stages and said the purchase would take DoorDash, which trades under the ticker DASH, into home grocery shopping.

No other terms of the proposed deal, including the mix of cash and stock or the expected timing of any closing, were disclosed in the material. Neither company's response was included.

Instacart operates a grocery delivery service, while DoorDash is known for on-demand delivery. A combination would pair the two businesses under a single owner.
