Anthropic's filing for an initial public offering sent chip shares higher on October 26, with Nvidia closing up 2.4% as the Nasdaq Composite added 0.8%, BeInCrypto reported. Broadcom and Micron also advanced, as did CoreWeave, an AI cloud provider that had been falling on concerns about its debt.

The company intends to trade on Nasdaq under the symbol ANT, possibly starting November 16. A reported valuation of $2 trillion has divided investors; some had been weighing a figure closer to $1.5 trillion after revenue growth slowed.

According to the filing, Anthropic booked $16.3 billion in revenue in the first six months, more than three times its total for 2025 of $4.6 billion. A net loss of $80.7 billion through June was driven largely by a non-cash charge of $72.4 billion linked to convertible debt.

Gil Luria, head of technology research at DA Davidson, named Amazon, Alphabet and Broadcom as beneficiaries. Paul Meeks of Freedom Capital said he was only mildly surprised by the 10% margin. Nigel Green, chief executive of deVere Group, told BeInCrypto that public investors would bear the risk if spending outpaces revenue.

OpenAI is expected to wait until early 2027 and is seeking $1.25 trillion in a pre-IPO round.
