Anthropic told prospective investors that its third-quarter revenue reached $16.8 billion as the company prepares to go public, Bloomberg reported on October 15, citing people familiar with the matter.

The figure surfaced as US equity futures fell on October 15, with a selloff in artificial-intelligence-related stocks picking up pace and investors shifting money into bonds.

Traders were also waiting on a run of US economic data, including the producer price index, retail sales and weekly jobless claims, along with remarks from Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh in Bangkok.

Kelsey Berro of JPMorgan Asset Management discussed the coming data and Warsh's comments in an interview with Bloomberg.

Bloomberg did not report a timetable or valuation for Anthropic's planned listing.
